Find out what the number includes
Ask whether a current quoted weight covers the body, the assembled item or the packed shipment. Request separate figures where available. A head, accessories and packaging should not be assumed to be included in a body-only value. Keep the measurement scope next to the number in your shortlist, so that a later comparison does not turn several different kinds of weight into one misleading column.
Compare the same body and options
